New transnational projects have been granted with funding from Interreg programmes. The support from Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programmes and Interreg South Baltic Programme amounts almost EUR 109 million. Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme approved support for 39 new projects and and Interreg South Baltic Programme accepted 12 new projects.
Expanding scientific cooperation with China: JRC and Chinese Academy of Sciences sign a research framework arrangement02 Jun 2017
On 2 June 2017, the JRC, represented by Director-General Vladimir Šucha, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), represented by its President, Professor Bai Chunli, signed a Research Framework Arrangement. The ceremony took place in the framework of the EU-China Summit 2017.
Scoping note defining the mission, vision, target market and sub-themes of collaboration of the partnership has been finalised.
In the second call of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region 39 projects were approved for funding out of 71 project applications in the thematic fields of capacity for innovation, management of natural resources and sustainable transport.
The second Call for Proposals of the Danube Transnational Programme is now open.
The objective of this event is twofold: first, it will allow presenting the main findings of the research study: "Smart Specialisation in Latin America" which has been conducted to analyse how policy makers and other territorial actors in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina are designing and implementing the Smart Specialisation concept.
