Description

Over the past few years, the Thematic Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation (S3P–Industry) offers its qualified partnerships access to valuable knowledge and a dedicated expert support network. As the involved regions share common regional research and innovation smart specialisation priorities, thematic partnerships continue working together by developing concrete joint investment projects while connecting respective elements of their regional innovation eco-systems. This form of interregional collaboration contributes to the creation of a strengthened EU-wide innovation eco-system, opening EU regions to new paths of development and improved participation in strategic value chains.

The Investment Day took place in Warsaw on the 13th June 2019. It was followed by the 5th Steering Committee meeting of the S3P–Industrial Modernisation (Day 2, 14th of June 2019). The event was co-organised with the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology of the Republic of Poland and offers a key venue to discuss issues related to the joint investment projects developed by the S3P-Industry community.

Day 1 was facilitated by the “Technical Assistance Facility for Industrial Modernisation and Investment” funded by the EU Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME). The Programme was managed by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) of the European Commission.

The S3P-Industry 5th Steering Committee Meeting will take place in Warsaw, Poland on the 14th of June 2019. This event was co-organised with the Polish Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology and offered the next occasion to further build the community of the S3P-Industry. The S3P-Industry event in Warsaw offered its growing community to meet its 20 partnerships and relevant European Commission services.
