IT and telecommunications (ICT) Digitalisation through ICT solutions for cities and buildings, smart grids and transport networks, application of Artificial Intelligence, pharmacoinformatics in medicine, agriculture and animal breeding, and as well as pharmaceutical and medical research, eHealth, logistics, advanced modelling, Internet of things, cloud computing, geoinformatics and satellite navigation systems, multimedia, games, cybersecurity.
Energy (including renewable energy sources) Modernising the infrastructure and managing systems to be equipped for producing, storing, distributing, and consuming, in increasingly efficient and safe fashion, energy that is more secure, increasingly cleaner and sourced from renewables.
Innovative agriculture and agri-food industry Various aspects of agri-food value chain ensuring sustainability which include precision breeding of plants and fungi with fertilizers or biologically active substances for plants respecting soil protection, water or energy consumption rationalisation, functional food and low-naturally processed food, food supplements, medicines and cosmetics production, biofuels and other energy products, food quality assessment systems during food storage and processing, innovative systems to ensure the achievement of hygiene standards and to secure equipment in agriculture.
Advanced construction materials (including design) Acquisition and application of mineral, bio-, polymer, textile and composites -based materials which are sustainable and recyclable and meet safety and users' requirements. Innovative use of mobile and control technologies in minerals extraction, processing, materials manufacturing and smart construction. Application of ICT in smart, integrated urban infrastructure management systems, intelligent building technologies and intelligent building project management.
