Smart Specialisation Peer-Exchange event for EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood region

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) works closely with countries beyond the European Union to help develop and implement innovation strategies based on the principle of Smart Specialisation. As part of this effort, the JRC extended an invitation to representatives of countries and economies (national or regional depending at which level S3 is being developed) to take part in an online S3 peer-exchange workshop, specially designed for EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood Region. The main purpose of the workshop was to provide support and guidance, based on the experience of peer countries/economies and experts, to plan, design and implement S3 strategies.

The online moderated sessions were designed to create a space to exchange questions and answers among participants, to learn and find solutions to S3-related matters, share stories behind every S3 strategy and build an open community of S3 practice.
