The call for applications for the membership of the I3 Expert Group is open.
The Commission has published a call for applications for the membership of the Commission Expert Group on Interregional Innovation Investments (I3). This call is aimed at umbrella organisations active in the field of smart specialisation strategies and interregional innovation ecosystems.
The I3 is a new programme under the ERDF with the objective to support the commercialisation and scaling up of interregional innovation projects in shared smart specialisation priority areas.
The I3 Expert Group will consist of Member States, regional authorities and cities, representatives of business, research and civil society bodies active in the field of smart specialisation. The main purpose of the group is to establish cooperation and coordination between the Commission, the Member States, and relevant stakeholders on questions relating to the implementation of the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) programme and related activities.

Interested organisations can apply by 29 April 2021. The first meeting of the group is planned in May 2021.
