EURADA  announces within the EU International Urban Cooperation Latin America and the Caribbean (IUC-LAC) Project that as from 17 September 2017 the competition call for EU Regions with an interest to pair with LA Regions is formally open.

Three LA Regions are available for cooperation in this first batch: CIOESTE (Brazil), Bogota-Cundinamarca (Colombia) and Chihuahua (Mexico). Please see their profile at: www.regional-coop.com.

The aim of the call is to initiate and facilitate a partnership between selected EU-LA Regions in order to develop new business opportunities via mutual learning and innovation, including the development or implementation of a Regional Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3).

Application should be done for each LA Region individually. Hence, if your region is interested in more than one LA Region you should apply more than once.

EU Regions with an interest to pair with each LA Region will be assessed based on three criteria: ability to support the development or implementation of a RIS3, ability to leverage joint new projects, and ability to develop new business opportunities. Selected EU Regions will engage in a one-year facilitated pairing with its LA counterpart in order to develop a joint roadmap for collaboration that shall lead to new business opportunities.

This open call is open for two weeks, until 31 October at 17:00 CET.
