Innovation and Regional Specialisation in Latin America is now also available in Spanish and Portuguese.
The objective of this event is twofold: first, it will allow presenting the main findings of the research study: "Smart Specialisation in Latin America" which has been conducted to analyse how policy makers and other territorial actors in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina are designing and implementing the Smart Specialisation concept. Second, it will serve as an opportunity to establish active synergies between practitioners of smart specialisation in the European Union and Latin America.

The Joint Research Centre, through its Directorate of Growth and Innovation (Territorial Development Unit) is currently conducting a study on Smart Specialisation in Latin America. The objective of this study is to analyse how policy makers and other territorial actors are designing and implementing the S3 concept in Latin America. The study will suggest how countries and regions of Latin-America and EU can establish cooperation frameworks within Smart Specialisation areas.
