The Commission has announced the winners of a new EU-funded initiative for interregional partnerships in four areas: coronavirus-related innovative solutions, circular economy in health, sustainable and digital tourism, and hydrogen technologies in carbon–intensive regions.
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) organises the high-level conference “What future for European robotics?” on 27 and 28 January 2021 between 15.00 and 18.00, with a closing policy roundtable on 29 January between 15.00 and 16.00.
The 10 selected cases highlight how stakeholders across Europe are using the Smart Specialisation concept to develop their own innovation-driven economic transformation agendas at various territorial levels, with a specific emphasis on environmental-oriented activities.

The latest region to register consists of Bursa, Eskisehir and Bilecik provinces (TR).
On 26 October, representatives from the European Commission, Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs), regions, and businesses came together to share successful models, best practices, and insights about the future of Europe’s hubs. Participants agreed that DIHs, driven by their local strengths and SME-ecosystems, will be the main catalyst for digital transformation in Europe. Their specialisation and complementarity of services, networking, and collaboration on the European level will be important factors in the hubs’ success.
Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform hosted a webinar for regional policymakers on Centres of Competence (CoCs) and Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) on 25 September 2020, with the participation of JRC's S3 DIH team.
Two projects have been awarded TAF support in the assessment rounds of applications in July.
