The main aim of this learning lab was to help improving governance models in EU13 in view of optimising the spending of the EU funds in sustainable and innovative energy solutions and addressing societal challenges such as the clean energy transition, both for the remaining and the next programming period.
This conference offers a comprehensive picture of the smart specialisation policy experience, including an evaluation of its early results, and highlights recent developments both conceptually and empirically. Particular attention will be given to implementation challenges and ways to address them, as well as to methodologies for impact assessment. In addition, the conference will explore how smart specialisation engages with global value chains and production networks, and how firms, regions and cities can benefit from relationships across the borders.
The Working Committee consists of all regions participating in Agri-food thematic partnerships and as a result, this Working Committee Meeting in Seinajoki brough together the European Commission services and representatives of all Agri-Food thematic partnerships. Over 50 regional stakeholders discussed the implementation of the Platform's activities while focusing on practical and methodological ways to resolve current and potential issues, and provide strategic guidance.
