S3 TRAINING WORKSHOP (PART 1): Developing Smart Specialisation Strategies in Eastern Partnership Countries02/12/2020 02/12/2020
This seminar aimed to provide national and regional S3 teams from Georgia (as well as Armenia and Belarus) an overview of the six-step methodology behind S3: from qualitative and quantitative analyses, identification of S3 priorities, strategy development as well as its implementation. During this workshop, participants will learn in more detail about an operational approach agreed with the national team and based on the JRC smart specialisation framework for Enlargement and Neighbourhood countries.
The online event aims to raise awareness about smart specialisation at national and regional level in Georgia as well as to present the first findings from the mapping analysis on existing economic and innovative data can provide.
This conference offers a comprehensive picture of the smart specialisation policy experience, including an evaluation of its early results, and highlights recent developments both conceptually and empirically. Particular attention will be given to implementation challenges and ways to address them, as well as to methodologies for impact assessment. In addition, the conference will explore how smart specialisation engages with global value chains and production networks, and how firms, regions and cities can benefit from relationships across the borders.

SME Conference "Smart Specialisation: Engine for Economic Growth in the Regions of the Republic of Moldova"06/10/2017
The S3 Platform together with external experts will present the potential smart specialisation priorities for Moldova at Smart Specialisation conference on 6 October in Chisinau, which is held in the context of Moldova Business Week 2017 organised yearly by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova. The conference will kick start the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process as a part of the smart specialisation process in Moldova.
The Digital Assembly 2017 will take place in Valletta, Malta. It is an event co-organised by the European Commission and the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
