The Ministry of Education and Science and the EIT are organising an EIT Awareness Day in Riga, with the aim to raise awareness of the EIT Community, its activities and, in particular, of cooperation opportunities among relevant national stakeholders.
Objective of the workshops: (1) To develop a shared understanding of "S3 Monitoring and Evaluation" (2) To bring S3 technical bodies (who are in charge of the monitoring) close to evaluators. I.e. build the capacity to engage with them, to pursue a meaningful exercise.
The aim of the workshop was to co-construct a State aid map in Energy to facilitate the application of State aid rules to practitioners from Managing Authorities and Intermediate Bodies implementing support measures to energy related projects under different investment priorities, mainly Thematic Objective (TO)1, TO4 and TO7e from the European Structural and Investment (ESI) funds.
The thematic S3 partnership on Chemicals is holding its next partnership meeting in Halle, Germany.
One of the challenges of S3 governance, as emerged is the lack of clarity on responsibilities and competences of technical bodies, i.e. those in charge of supporting S3 design and implementation. In this event we want to address this gap. We frist present the knwoledge developed in previous stages of the project and then, through a participatory, exercise, we try to understand what should the S3 Technical body be responsible for. This is to support regions to prepare their governance structure in the next programming period.
On the 14th of February the next meeting of the Social Economy partnership will take place in Pamplona, Spain, which is going to be a Collaboration Lab organised by ReConfirm
During a two-day event, the participants of the workshop were able to listen expert presentations on different stages of the smart specialisation strategy development in accordance with the JRC S3 Framework for the EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood Countries.
The event, on 5-6 February, will demonstrate how EU industrial policy benefits European citizens and provide input for future policy making.
