S3 TRAINING WORKSHOP (PART 1): Developing Smart Specialisation Strategies in Eastern Partnership Countries02/12/2020 02/12/2020
This seminar aimed to provide national and regional S3 teams from Georgia (as well as Armenia and Belarus) an overview of the six-step methodology behind S3: from qualitative and quantitative analyses, identification of S3 priorities, strategy development as well as its implementation. During this workshop, participants will learn in more detail about an operational approach agreed with the national team and based on the JRC smart specialisation framework for Enlargement and Neighbourhood countries.

SMARTER 2020 Conference Webinar series on "Smart Specialisation and Territorial Development: Connecting grand societal challenges with local goals in place-based innovation policy". Co-organised by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and RSA Europe. The six webinars will be held between 17 September and 3 December 2020.
On October 15-16, Science Park Belgrade will host European, regional and national experts on research and innovation who will discuss Serbian Smart Specialisation priority domains and possibilities the for most efficient technology transfer in the selected domains.
On 11th of October the S3 Platform invites to discuss how smart specialisation supports sustainable and innovative development of Arctic regions at Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The Smart Specialisation Platform will be presenting a wide range of topics, including Innovation procurement for S3P Energy, Digital Innovation Hubs & S3 bringing forward digital transformation, Education and training institutions bringing research and innovation closer to citizens and communities, etc.
