Inter-territorial Cooperation

Inter-territorial cooperation is a key element on the implementation of the Smart Specialisation (S3) model. These collaborations are key to build strategic alignments among regions and countries to tackle common challenges in a systemic way across Europe. The European Commission supports the outward-looking, international perspective of the Smart Specialisation approach, with the view to develop cross regional projects and international networks, as well as to strengthen and/or create European value chains.

S3 Thematic Platforms

The European Commission supports three thematic smart specialisation (S3) platforms in Agri-Food, Energy and Industrial Modernisation.
