Description
Circular Health European Digital Innovation Hub (CHEDIH) is focused on the applicative area of circular health: the connection between human health and the health of animals, plants and the environment. Its targets are health and agri-food small ane medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public administrations (PAs) in Piedmont and the Aosta Valley in Italy. It coordinates universities, Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs), innovation clusters, industrial associations, chambers of commerce, public and private ICT providers, higher technical institutes, independent financial consultants, incubators, accelerators, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) nodes, Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) Institutes of Innovation & Technology (EITs) in Health and Food. The expertise is focused on artificial intelligence (AI), high performance computing (HPC) (as part of the EuroHPC Digital Europe (DE) programme), cybersecurity and blockchain for traceability, but does not disregard higher technology readiness level (TRL) solutions given the low level of digitalization of its customers.
To ensure a truly European dimension, CHEDIH have created a network of EDIHs around Europe: 22 EDIH candidates specialising in health or agri-food have signed a multilateral agreement to share a common catalogue of services, and coordinate with the Digital Transformation Accelerator (DTA).
Its pipeline of services includes: 1) networking to engage customers in innovative solutions such as the social networking platform FirstLife and artistic performances;. 2) a digital readiness assessment and a green assessment to produce a digital roadmap, identifying technologies and training needs;. 3) testing before investing to exploit the technological expertise of universities and ICT providers;. 4) short reskilling courses, massive online open courses (MOOCs) and integration with the wider higher education systems 5) support for customers in building a business plan, and finding public or private funding, provided by an independent financial advisor and an international law firm expert in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and also through InvestEU and Startup Europe.
