Description

The Center for Digital Innovation called DIH4S is a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) that acts as a one-stop shop for helping companies and organizations to improve their competitiveness by adopting digital technologies. DIH4S is a not-for-profit hub-organization.

Our services are designed to assist companies and public organizations to innovate their business and production processes, products or services through digitalization, as well as to facilitate access to technical expertise in digital transformation and experimentation on digitalization.

The Center for Digital Innovation DIH4S also provides specialized services, such as financing advice in relation with digitalization-driven projects, training and skills development for a successful digital transformation. Our approach for digitalization embeds environmental and circularity issues, too.

The specialization area of our DIH is directed on ensuring wide use of digital technologies across the economy and society. Therefore, our target beneficiaries are both private and public organizations, including SMEs from any economic sector and public administration.

In parallel, the Center for Digital Innovation DIH4S is working to support projects that are related with Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems (generically called in DIH4S as Data Intelligence), with the consideration of Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and Internet of Things issues.

DIH4S is also aligned with the National Strategy for Smart Specialization, benefiting from national funds to finance specialization for digitalization --> CRONOS :: Consolidation of the innovation ecosystem of Cluj IT by smart specialization for structural transformation and internationalization based on IP of the IT sector from Romania

December 12, 2019, Bucharest, Romania: Cluj IT organizes an event on implementing the EC Directive 55/2014 in Romania, in the Campus Research Center of the Politehnica University of Bucharest. It is the second event of Cluj IT organized on this topic, after the first one from May 2019, held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Experts from DG Connect, EC introduced the key issues on e-Invoicing, as well as practices from various EU countries. This event was attended by representatives of various Romanian ministries and governmental agencies. The National Forum for e-Invoicing was set up with this occasion.

Facilitation to access specialized labs on digitalization

Client needs: Need to learn PLC programming, industrial robot programming; Need to learn programming languages with application in robotization; Need to test robotization concepts

We have provided access to Industrial Robotic Labs to several start-ups. December 18, 2019, Bistrita, Romania: Event organized by Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bistrita-Nasaud and Cluj IT. Four companies are assisted to evaluate their DIQ. Some other 10 companies assist to the process as a live lesson to learn. Benefciaries of this audit were ROMBAT Bistrita, Romania, TERAPLAST Bistrita, Romania, and other two compnaies.

An illustrative example is the facilitation for Ecolor company, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (SME in wood industry) to find the solution provider (Accenture Romania) to integrate MFE with ERP for industry 4.0.

Another illustrative example is the case of Plant Extrakt from Radaia, Romania (pharmaceutical SME) to find the research group from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in order to create a novel installation for extraction of some chemical substances from a ressin of a plant. The system is with adaptive control and connected to the data center for collecting information.
