Smart Health DIH is non-profit organisation which developing the health care innovation ecosystem based in Vilnius (Lithuania). It aims at innovative solutions to promote health, prevent disease and provide resilient, accessible and effective patient-centered care that meets European citizens’ needs.

Smart Health DIH was established to build appropriate frameworks and amounts of high quality patient-centered health data for high performance computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence, which can help design and test new healthcare products, provide faster diagnosis and better personalized health interventions

Smart Health DIH solutions aim at contributing to increase in citizens’ secure access to and sharing of health data across platforms, better data to advance research, disease prevention and personalized health care, providing digital tools for citizen empowerment and person-centered care

As Smart Health DIH was established to facilitate the full innovation chain, from basic research to market uptake, it consists of participants from academia, the public sector, and the private sector: major national healthcare centers and research / educational institutions, international healthcare equipment manufacturers, NGOs, technology providers and facilitators.

Smart Health DIH partners join their resources to implement the new care models and the digital evidence based results, which provide the necessary means for delivery of efficient and cost-effective prevention and care in the European societies facing the ageing of the population together with the growing burden of chronic conditions and multi-morbidity.

Smart Health DIH is open for collaboration with international partners to accelerate innovations for delivering advanced, personalized, effective health care solutions.

Išmaniosios sveikatos Skaitmeninių inovacijų centras yra ne pelno organizacija, kuri plėtoja sveikatos priežiūros inovacijų ekosistemą, Vilniuje (Lietuva). Ja siekiama naujoviškų sprendimų, skatinančių sveikatą, užkirsti kelią ligoms ir suteikti prieinamą ir veiksmingą į pacientą orientuotą priežiūrą, atitinkančią Europos piliečių poreikius.

Išmaniosios sveikatos SIC buvo įsteigta siekiant sukurti tinkamas sistemas ir kiekius aukštos kokybės pacientų orientuotą sveikatos duomenis aukštos kokybės skaičiavimo, duomenų analizės ir dirbtinio intelekto, kuris gali padėti kurti ir išbandyti naujus sveikatos priežiūros produktus, teikti greičiau diagnozuoti ir geriau individualizuotas sveikatos intervencijos procesus.

Išmaniosios sveikatos SIC sprendimais siekiama didinti piliečių saugią prieigą prie visų platformų sveikatos duomenų ir jų dalijimosi, geresnių duomenų apie mokslinius tyrimus, ligų prevenciją ir asmeninį sveikatos priežiūrą, teikiant skaitmenines priemones, skirtas pacientų prieinamumą į asmenį orientuotą priežiūrą

Kadangi Išmaniosios sveikatos SIC buvo įsteigta siekiant sudaryti palankesnes sąlygas pilnai naujovių grandinei, nuo mokslinių tyrimų iki įsisavinimo rinkoje, ją sudaro dalyviai iš akademinės bendruomenės, viešojo sektoriaus ir privataus sektoriaus: pagrindiniai nacionaliniai sveikatos priežiūros centrai, mokslinių tyrimų ir švietimo įstaigos, Tarptautinės sveikatos priežiūros įrangos gamintojai, NVO, technologijų teikėjai ir pagalbininkai.

Išmaniosios sveikatos SIC yra atvira bendradarbiavimui su tarptautiniais partneriais, siekiant paspartinti naujoves teikiant pažangius, individualizuotus, veiksmingus sveikatos priežiūros sprendimus.

National Open Access Scientific Data Archive Information System (MIDAS)

Challenge:  to collect, process, store and analyse scientific research data and other relevant information in all fields of knowledge, enabling free, easy and convenient access to it via the Internet.

Client profile: scientists, researchers, teachers, lecturers, students, higher education and research establishments, healthcare institutions, other research-related individuals and institutions.

Solution: National Open Access Scientific Data Archive Information System (MIDAS) maintains and supports the open access to research data by taking into consideration the European Commission's Guidelines on Open Access to Scientific Publications and Research Data in Horizon 2020, European Research Council's Open Access Guidelines for researchers funded by the ERC and other relevant documents and guidelines.

The MIDAS archive site consists of:

  • MIDAS research space, dedicated only to registered users of the MIDAS (each registered user is provided with 100 GB of free online storage for scientific data. Registration takes place through the E-government portal or by invitation).
  • MIDAS Portal, the public space that can be accessed by all who are interested in seeking and reviewing the published research data and their metadata.

One of important parts of the Archive is Biomedical data component. This component is special due to specific data, methods and standards of data collection. 

 

In Biomedical part of MIDAS archive scientists have a possibility to:

  • create a digital setting for scientific research;
  • create a multicenter data bases of chronic diseases;
  • create patients monitoring systems;
  • create a health proceeding registration systems;
  • collect and automatically transfer patients interview forms, examination protocols, monitoring protocols and other files of patients’ examinations;
  • choose and export data for statistical analysis;

Electronic Patient Appointment Booking System

Challenge: reduce telephone call loads, make appointment booking 7/24 available, increase effectiveness and booking process transparency

Client profile: University and regional hospitals, outpatient clinics, primary care healthcare institutions, health specialist clinics, rehabilitation institutions, private and public, patients.

Solution: System is built as a solution integrating multiple healthcare institutions and letting patients choose and combine appointments to different specialties and locations, it already integrates more than 140 institutions and 9000 healthcare providers of more than 300 specialties. Innovative technologies, new features and services are implemented: specialist search in all health care institutions simultaneously, SMS acknowledgment and visit reminder, SMS feedback, appointment cancellation, Telephone conversation record attachment to the appointment, patient queuing, booking for hospitalization and rehabilitation, integration of decision support systems and electronic guides, applications for mobile devices, API for integration with local systems, and much more.

Patient-centric digital pathology services

Challenge: Streamline workflow and specialist communications focused on patient data within digital pathology ecosystem to increase effectiveness of patient-centric healthcare process management. Tissue pathology testing is often a crucial step in disease diagnosis and involves many subspecialties in medicine, online and focused communication within pathology laboratory and with the multidisciplinary clinical team is important.

Client profile: University and regional hospitals, outpatient clinics, primary care healthcare institutions, health specialist clinics, private and public.

Solution: System “manoVPC – myNPC” is based on integration of the pathology information system with multiple healthcare institutions and providing over 700 physicians, involved in a patient’s care, individual access to the real-time pathology workflow data online. Both pathologists and clinicians have the individual working lists which are virtually merged to access only relevant data. In this common working space, all specialists logged into the system, can have convenient online communication, access preliminary diagnosis and specialized laboratory test being performed, retrieve final pathology results, and view virtual pathology slides. The system also serves as an individualized physician’s searchable pathology database, which also allows adding new questions and requests. Business analytics and artificial intelligence applications run in the background to ensure lean management of the digital workflow.
