Smart Energy DIH is non-profit organisation which developing the smart energy innovation ecosystem based in Vilnius (Lithuania). The Digital Innovation Hub that brings together major research, business and public stakeholders in Lithuania for the common development and implementation of digital transformations in the renewable energy, greenhouse gas reduction, eco-design, recycling, environmental protection, circular business model development and associated sectors that meets European citizens’ needs.
Smart Energy DIH was established to build appropriate frameworks and amounts of high quality of renewable energy data for high performance computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence.
As Smart Energy DIH was established to facilitate the full innovation chain, from basic research to market uptake, it consists of participants from academia, the public sector, and the private sector: major national renewable energy center’s and research / educational institutions, international smart energy equipment manufacturers, NGOs, technology providers and facilitators.
Smart Energy DIH partners join their resources to implement the new models and the digital evidence based results, which provide the necessary means for delivery of efficient and cost-effective renewable energy in the European societies.
Smart Energy DIH is open for collaboration with international partners to accelerate innovations for delivering advanced, personalised, effective smart energy solutions.
The strategic mission of Smart Energy DIH is to contribute towards achieving goals stated in the EU “2030 framework for climate and energy policies”, which are the following:
· At least 40% cuts in greenhouse gas emissions (from 1990 levels);
· At least 32% share for renewable energy;
· At least 32.5% improvement in energy efficiency.

"Smart Energy DIH" strateginė misija – padėti siekti tikslų, nurodytų ES "2030 klimato ir energetikos politikos strategijoje", kurios yra šios:
Bent 40% sumažinti išmetamą šiltnamio efektą sukeliančių dujų kiekį (nuo 1990 lygio);
Bent 32 proc. atsinaujinančiosios energijos dalies;
Bent 32,5 proc. pagerinti energijos vartojimo efektyvumą.

Detra Solar virtual reality software
Challenge: to enable visually evaluate and customize solar power plants before any construction has been started, thus avoiding functional, esthetic and environmental errors, that can cause the solar project budget increase.
Client profile: municipalities, medium and large solar park developers, business, private sector.
Solution: Detra Solar developed software creates 3D rendered images of the solar park design. These images can be manipulated and explored on screen or uploaded into a virtual reality environment such as Oculus Rift. The user gets a 100% accurate representation of the future solar park and being able to walk around it before ground has even been broken. The benefits of a VR help to spot any aesthetic problems early on, lets user get an accurate feel for the project while planning the construction phase and is an impressive way to showcase the project to investors.

Floating solar plant in Kruonis PSHP
Floating solar plant in Kruonis PSHP, Lithuania
Challenge: enabling solar power plant to be installed floating on water, thus freeing-up the land for other needs of the communities and business.
Client profile: energy companies, utility companies, municipalities, local communities.
Solution: During the primary stage of the project 60 kW pilot floating solar power plant in Kruonis pumped storage hydroelectric power plant will be installed with the aim to develop an algorithm for managing the power plant and energy storage system. The algorithm will take into account constantly registered network and other physical parameters of the Kruonis PSHP. According to initial calculations, covering the whole Kruonis PSHP’s upper reservoir with the floating solar power panels would result in a power plant generating enough electricity to supply more than 120k households yearly.

SoliTek opens most advanced 2MW bifacial solar plant in Europe
Advanced bifacial SoliTek solar plant
Challenge: to maximize daily electricity generation at least by 30% using advanced solar technologies.
Client profile: municipalities, medium and large solar park developers, manufacturing business, private household communities.
Solution: solar plant of any scale, consisting of most energy efficient bifacial glass-glass solar panels, mounted on horizontal single-axis sun tracking systems with ultra-reflective UV-stable polypropylene woven textile surface under the panels, which increases the Albedo effect (energy generating reflections from the ground) up to 6 times...
