INFOBALT DIH is non-profit organisation, which aims to increase innovation capacity of SMEs, Midcaps and large companies in the area of digitalization. 
It offers Industry 4.0, HPC, AI, Cyber Security technologies,
provides process optimization and automation solutions that help companies quickly and accurately produce, manage workflow, reduce costs and increase capacity. It also organize trainings in respective fields and provides test before invest services for entities aiming to digitize.

INFOBALT, the coordinator of INFOBALT DIH – locally and internationally recognized representative of Lithuanian Information and Communication Technologies industry, which currently has 165 members, including ICT companies and research institutions. Its mission is to promote the use of Information and Communication Technologies to boost the digital economy and benefit businesses and public sector.

- Member of Lithuanian Industry 4.0 platform, which unites all the major stakeholders from different sectors and is the main consensus building instrument in Lithuanian ecosystem for industry digitalization. - Project partner of Interreg BSR project "Digital Innovation Network", which aim is to increase the innovation capacity, and boost the digital transformation of industrial SMEs and  also to create a sustaible network of main Industry 4.0 players around Nordic-Baltic region countries. - Project partner  in EU CEF  eDELIVERY project. eDelivery is one of EC Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) building blocks, which helps  to exchange electronic data and documents across borders between public institutions, businesses and citizens securely and reliably. It boost the implementation of the EU Digital Single Market strategy.                                                     

-Project partner in EU CEF project "e.Invoicing Cross-Border LT".  The goal of the project, is to modernize the national information system "E. Account" by providing opportunities for contracting authorities and entities to accept and operate electronic invoices complying with the European electronic invoice standard received from Lithuanian and other EU entities.  It boost the implementation of the EU Digital Single Market strategy

High Performance Computing

Client profile:Biotechnology company, working on developing self-learning Artificial Intelligence capable of working with full genomes of crop plants on nucleotide level.

Client need: the company analyzes large volumes of sequenced genomes and there was a need for a the new tool thah could works with the „raw“ genome directly at the nucleotide level and can inexpensively extract significant areas hundreds of times faster than current methods.

Provided solution: to achieve the goal the NVIDIA DGX Station was delivered. NVIDIA DGX Station, which is built on NVIDIA Volta GPU architecture, is world’s fastest workstation for leading-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) development. This solution empowered the customer to get started faster and effortlessly experiment with the power of a data center in the office. Delivered NVIDIA DGX Station calculations are up to 47 times faster if compared to a server with 2 CPUs and 20 times faster if compared to 4X GPU workstation. Because NVIDIA DGX Station is fully assembled in NVIDIA factory, the deployment on client ‘s premises took only several hours.

Cyber security

Client profile: AB Šiaulių bankas. It is a bank in Lithuania.

Client need: In order to prevent external and internal threats, Lithuanian bank Šiaulių Bankas has decided to enhance the internal fraud monitoring system by clearly communicating the intolerance of prohibited behavior and introducing new monitoring technologies. The advanced system is expected to identify risks and human errors more accurately as well as tighten fraud prevention.

Provided solution: to meet the above expectation as well as strengthen internal preventive measures and speed up the identification process, Šiaulių Bankas and NRD Cyber ​​Security have agreed to improve the bank’s internal risk monitoring system. A multi-component solution has been proposed: one of the most important parts is the creation of an increased risk algorithm, which enables the exclusion of employees with increased risk to commit internal fraud. Another important element of the proposed solution is a software that not only facilitates the identification and analysis among different types of data, but also helps to identify trends and atypical behaviors.


Digital transformation of Industry

Client profile:UAB „Atechna“ is a supplier and manufacturer of laser optics, crystals, lasers and optomechanics products.

Client need:  The company sought to have a unified system that would consistently track the company’s core activities, allowing for system-wide communication and job transfer between departments.

Provided solution: Implemented with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the scope includes: finance module, purchases, sales, resources, inventory, production, metrology functionality, and Columbus payroll and HR accounting solutions, which has enabled the company’s core processes to be digitized.


Digital Transformation of Industry

Client profile: UAB Baltic Agro has several activities – grain purchase, feed, fertilizers, plant protection.

Client need: One of the company’s main needs was to remotely manage sales manager orders into Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Provided solution: Introduced eXtendo Solution to Digitize Managers Work, i.e. Digitize orders by entering them into Microsoft Dynamics NAV in real time rather than after a while.


High Performance Computing

Client profile:Vilnius University, the oldest and largest Lithuanian higher education institution with over 430 years of academic traditions and the widest range of study programmes in Lithuania.

Client need: the University had a need to create an Information Technology Open Access Center to provide access to researchers and businesses that need high performance computing in biochemistry, biomedical, optical spectroscopy and other areas. The aim was to open up completely new possibilities for high-performance computing (HPC) in various fields of science and economy, to accelerate the transfer of technological knowledge from the academic level to business, to allow more efficient research and to cooperate more actively with foreign scientists.

Provided solution: the supercomputer’s implementation was phased in at two geographically remote locations (The Digital Research and Computing Center in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science; faculty of Phyciss) that together provide 3200 computing cores and 800 TB of disk space. The cluster is merged and managed with high-performance parallel file system Lustre ™. The symmetric multiprocessor computing system implemented in the high-performance system was the only one of its kind in Lithuania, which is highly efficient and ensures extremely high scalability.
