Eliko is an embedded electronics and software development company. We design and develop intelligent and future-proof control systems for different industries including industrial manufacturing and healthcare.

Eliko custom develops solutions based on novel algorithms and communication models for devices that continuously need new functionalities in the Internet of Things (IoT).

Eliko's engineers have broad experience in embedded product development and IoT/M2M communication. We focus on inertial motion capture, machine vision and Ultra Wideband technology.

For the past decade, Eliko has been one of the main sources of industrial R&D competence for the Estonian IT and electronics industry. Eliko has been involved in developing government digital standards and public services.

Service Examples

Eliko has developed a custom part identification system for industrial welding robots. The system is part of automated warehouse that allows welding robot to work independently with minimal human assistance.
Eliko developed a custom lighting and image capturing system that was installed to customer’s production site. Eliko also developed computer vision and machine learning algorithms so that the system can learn to identify the objects fed into the welding robot and choose as well as initiate the appropriate welding program on the robot.
As a result, the welding robot can work more independently. This increases the robot’s working hours and reduces personnel costs.
The automatic parts identification system is built as a custom solution for Norcar BSB for producing industrial machinery.

Eliko has provided part of a system for quality assurance during car assembly process for Hyundai Mobis.
During car assembly process it has to be sure that all bolts and nuts are fastened, because in case flaws are detected once the car is already in use, the expenses associated to possible recall of cars and harmed reputation of the car brand can cause even bigger losses.
Eliko provided Hyundai Mobis a precise indoor localization system based on UWB radio. By integrating the localization component into the hand tool Hyundai Mobis were able to digitally register whether all elements in one assembly step have been fastened or not.
The use of this kind of system helps to minimize the quality faults caused by human error.

Eliko developed an intertial motion capture platform for estimating the physical condition of multiple sclerosis patients.
The system is based on Eliko’s custom wearable sensors, sensor fusion technology and pattern recognition software. Multiple sclerosis patients do standard exercises wearing our wireless motion tracking units. The software then analyses if the patient’s condition is worsening, stable, or improving. This will help physicians to detect relapses and assess the effect of medication on the patient’s motor functions.
As a result, patients and doctors have a better overview of patient’s condition and avoid unnecessary hospital visits.
