Description

The S3 Platform co-organised this peer-review workshop together with the regional government of the Balearic Islands in Palma de Mallorca (Spain).

The workshop employed the peer-review methodology as an instrument to support EU regions and Member States in the development of their RIS3 (Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation).

The workshop ran over two days starting with a panel session with presentations by Katja Reppel (DG Regio) and Hervé Dupuy (DG Connect) and an introduction to mutual learning by Jens Sörvik (S3 Platform).

The panel session was followed by the presentations of the regions. On the second event day, Ales Gnamus (S3 Platform) held a presentation on the S3 Platform´s upcoming online database tool to share information on regional priorities. The workshop ended with a plenary session on conclusions and lessons learned and a study tour.
