Commissioner Hahn in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Western Balkans Six Leaders' summit and to take stock of the country's reform path toward the EU

Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, was in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March to participate in the Western Balkans Six Leaders' meeting in Sarajevo, to attend public events and have meetings with political representatives. At the summit (16 March), the Commissioner discussed with leaders economic and political perspectives for the Western Balkans in preparation of the Western Balkans Six Summit, scheduled for July in Trieste. On the same day, Commissioner met representatives of the civil society, including young civil servants, participants in the EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans and students participating in the E4U Outreach programme.

 

Commissioner Hahn participateed in the high level meeting on the Reform Agenda with Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Željka Cvijanović Prime Minister of Republika Srpska. Finally, Commissioner Hahn  attended the opening ceremony of the EU-funded cross-border bridge in Svilaj, with Chair Zvizdić and Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković.
