The S3 Platform together with external experts will present the potential smart specialisation priorities for Moldova at Smart Specialisation conference on 6 October in Chisinau, which is held in the context of Moldova Business Week 2017 organised yearly by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova. The conference will kick start the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process as a part of the smart specialisation process in Moldova.

Description

The S3 Platform together with external experts presented the potential smart specialisation priorities for Moldova at SME conference on 6 October in Chisinau, which was held  in the context of Moldova Business Week 2017 organised yearly by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova and partner organisations. The conference gathered around 300 participants mainly representing business organisations but also public institutions, regional development agencies, NGOs. The event  was opened by Mr. Octavian Calmic, Minister of Economics and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova and Mr. Peter Michalko, Head of the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Moldova.

In support to the S3 process in Moldova the S3 Platform has launched  the mapping of the economic, scientific and innovation potential, which results have been presented at the conference. The conference opened the discussions on competitive strengths of Moldova as a part entrepreneurial discovery process.  The EU experts from Romanian and Italian regions shared their experiences of involving business stakeholders in discovery of smart specialisation priorities.
