Smart Specialisation in the World in 2050 Report

"Innovations for Sustainability. Pathways to an efficient and post-pandemic future" is the third report prepared by The World in 2050 initiative (TWI 2050),which was established by the International Institute for Applied System Analysis (IIASA) together with other partners. The main aim of this initiative is to provide scientific basis and foundations for the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

The "Innovations for Sustainability. Pathways to an efficient and post-pandemic future" report tries to highlight potential benefits innovation should and brings to sustainable development for all people, but also describes negative consequences and impact, challenges and constrains the world faces nowadays.

Smart Specialisation Strategy is considered as one of the global methodologies for Science, Technology and Innovation roadmaps for the achievements of Sustainable Development Goals. The TWI2050 report highlights the S3 concept as one of the regional and national STI approaches for sustainability.
