Varios países y regiones de América Latina están siguiendo de cerca el concepto de especialización inteligente aplicado actualmente en la Unión Europea (UE). El interés hacia este enfoque, basado en la mejora de las capacidades regionales de innovación, está motivando una reflexión territorial, unos procesos participativos y una visión colectiva relacionados con las perspectivas de innovación de las regiones latinoamericanas.

O conceito de Especialização Inteligente, atualmente aplicado na União Europeia, está a ser acompanhado de perto por vários países e regiões da América Latina. O interesse nesta abordagem, baseada no reforço das capacidades de inovação regional, está a incentivar uma reflexão territorial, processos participativos e uma visão coletiva relacionados com as perspetivas de inovação das regiões latino-americanas.

Report on the Implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy Review

This is the first report following the review of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) in November 2015, which sets out a new framework for building more effective partnerships between the EU and its neighbours, and supporting stabilisation as a top priority. The report reflects the overarching political priorities for the EU's external action agreed with by Council following publication of the Global Strategy for the European Union's Foreign and Security Policy in June 2016.

The interest towards this approach, highly based on the enhancement of regional innovation capacities, is motivating territorial dialogues, participatory processes and collective vision related to the innovation perspectives of Latin-American regions.
