The project concludes the first phase of its activities at the end of this year. As a conclusion of the tasks carried out by the S3PEnergy, a High Level Event will take place on Thursday the 25th of January 2018, including both institutional and technical sessions, providing a good overview of the results achieved so far and a clear scene setting for the activities to be conducted in the next future.

Call for Expression of Interest for Regional Authorities to Participate in a Pilot Action on Industrial Transition31/10/2017
DG REGIO seeks expressions of interest from national and regional authorities, at the appropriate geographical level and at least at NUTS level 2, willing to work on the basis of their respective smart specialisation strategies in order to promote broad-based innovation to address the challenges of industrial transition.
The JRC and Regione Puglia have been collaborating on a set of activities, as part of the JRC project of “Targeted Support for RIS3 Implementation” since 2016. A set of further activities are now planned, centred on the role of universities and higher education in RIS3 implementation. The 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), jointly organised by Hungary (which holds the current presidency of the EUSDR), the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme, took place on October 18-19, 2017, in Budapest.
This innovation camp takes place these 11th and 12th October in Brussels. It counts on the joint participation of three S3PEnergy partnerships, external experts, academics and European Commission staff of several DGs.
