The Working Committee consists of all regions participating in Agri-food thematic partnerships and as a result, these Working Committee Meetings bring together the European Commission services and representatives of all Agri-Food thematic partnerships. To ensure the smooth functioning of this joint initiative, it has been agreed to meet twice a year to discuss implementation of the Platform's activities, resolve potential issues, and provide strategic guidance. This meeting will take place in Seinajoki, Finland on 11th June 2018.
Andalucía Digital Week was born to become the main showcase of the field of new information, communication and digital contents technologies in Andalucía. It is also a meeting point in which companies, public administrations and society in general can have the access to the latest advances, stimulating the development of its Society and Digital Economy, providing a new vision of technologies.

The JRC is organising from 24 to 26 January 2018 in Ispra (IT) the event "Macro-Regional Innovation Week" with a focus on Science and Technology (S&T) Knowledge for Policy Support and Collaboration within the EU Macro-Regions linked and the Western Balkans and with a special emphasis on the Smart Specialisation and S&T Support to Policies (agriculture, environment, energy and transport, and biotechnologies).
The first technical meeting of the thematic partnership on Traceability and Big data took place in Seville (Spain) on 28th and 29th March. The thematic partnership intends to facilitate the incorporation of the necessary digital technologies and data application in agri-food sector value chains. More than 100 participants attended the event.
The objective of this event is twofold: first, it will allow presenting the main findings of the research study: "Smart Specialisation in Latin America" which has been conducted to analyse how policy makers and other territorial actors in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina are designing and implementing the Smart Specialisation concept. Second, it will serve as an opportunity to establish active synergies between practitioners of smart specialisation in the European Union and Latin America.

The European Commission’s Directorate General for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs is pleased to announce that the European Cluster Conference 2016 will be held in Brussels on 30 November – 2nd December 2016. The conference will take place on 1-2 December 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with a European cluster matchmaking pre-event on 30 November 2016.
Bratislava Bio-Economy Conference will be held on 17 October 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia. This high level European meeting is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and National Agriculture and Food Centre and by the European Commission. The conference is a part of the European Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan, and serves as an important input to the future orientation of the European Bioeconomy Strategy.
The European Commission will present its FOOD 2030 research and innovation policy stocktaking exercise to be followed by four prospective discussion panels, each exploring how R&I policy should contribute to shaping tomorrow's sustainable food systems, with respect to healthy and sustainable diets, climate resilience and circularity of food systems, user-centric innovation, new business models and investment.
