The workshop on the value chain of non-metallic minerals was based on the same approach that was followed for organising three similar events in the past (wine, dairy/meat products, tourism). The event gave the opportunity to the participants (representing all strands of the triple helix) to be exposed on key innovations in the value chain of the selected sectors at the national and European level and at the same time to stimulate idea generation for business development.

The RIM Plus organised in cooperation with DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission and Emilia-Romagna Region, a workshop on developing new industrial value chains across European regions, taking advanced manufacturing as an example. It was the first in a series of eight events to be organised during the period 2015-2016.
The European Commission, the DG for Regional and Urban Policy and the DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs organised the conference GROW your REGIOn: Delivering Smart Specialisation and Economic Transformation through Clusters.
This was a thematic workshop aimed at technology developers, appliers, end-users, and regional governments is organised by the European Joint Undertaking on Fuel Cells & Hydrogen (FCH) the French region Rhône-Alpes in cooperation with the S3 Platform has as an objective boosting collaboration between the FC industry and the regions interested in applying FCH based solutions in their Smart Specialization priorities.
The LATVIA National Event was co-organised by the S3 Platform - S2E project and the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia, State Education Development Agency (SEDA).
The CROATIA National Event was co-organised by the S3 Platform - S2E project and the Ministry of Economy of Croatia.
This conference, organised by DG Education and Culture brought together high-level representatives from the university and business world; from relevant Nordic and Baltic, European and international organizations, public sector bodies and authorities as well as other stakeholders to discuss how inter-sectorial and transnational partnerships can strengthen economic growth in Europe through the development of local innovation eco systems.
This peer review workshop in Rzeszów was organised by the S3 Platform and the Marshal Office of Podkarpackie. Since transition is one of way of economic development to be chosen within the frameworkd of smart specialisation, this time our flagship event focused on the economic transition of regions.
The S3 Platform organised a high-level meeting on challenges and monitoring implementation of S3 strategies, which presented the state of play regarding the implementation phase of RIS3.
The Forum brought together 300 high-level representatives from; higher education institutions; large companies; SME's, relevant European organisations and associations; as well as national, regional and local authorities from Europe and beyond.
