AREA Science Park is a system based on innovation,  research and the development of new high technology businesses.

Its 93.679 square meters of laboratories and common areas, divided in two campuses in Trieste and Gorizia host approximately 90 R&D centres and high-tech companies with over 2.400 employees.

The R&D activities carried out in AREA Science Park focus on five clusters: Life Sciences; Information Science, Electronics and Telecommunications; Physics, Materials, Nanotechnologies; Energy and the Environment; Qualified Services.

 AREA’s mission is to contribute to the development of the business sector through innovation, technological research and digital transformation.

AREA Science Park è un ecosistema strutturato di imprese private e operatori pubblici in grado di generare sviluppo economico nei diversi livelli regionale, nazionale ed internazionale, mettendo a valore gli asset della digitalizzazione, della tecnologia avanzata e dell’alta formazione presenti nei territori di riferimento su scala regionale, per ottimizzare le risorse ed attrarre allo stesso tempo investimenti nazionali ed internazionali in nuovi progetti di sviluppo strategico.

AREA Science Park è ente nazionale e pone l’interazione tra ricerca e industria come fattore trainante per garantire sviluppo e crescita. AREA Science Park, che da quasi 40 anni opera con risultati concreti e misurabili sotto il coordinamento del MIUR, si pone come player principale dell’innovazione, utilizzando strumenti adeguati al contesto economico, sociale e tecnologico di riferimento.

Non solo quindi un soggetto attivo nella valorizzazione della ricerca, bensì un player dello sviluppo industriale.
