Survey for Capacity Mapping for Advanced Manufacturing

The Vanguard Initiative launched a survey to map the capacity for advanced manufacturing for energy applications in harsh environments. As a first step, they are seeking to build an inventory of the relevant infrastructure (marine energy testing sites, etc.), specialist research centres, key companies, clusters and networks in European regions. Regional policy makers, cluster managers and experts in the field of advanced manufacturing and the value chains concerned are kindly asked to provide information on leading firms, specialist technology centres, etc. in their region.

Follow-up interviews were carried out with selected regional experts based on the replies between mid-October and early November. The results of the study were made available to survey respondents at the end of 2014.
