Description
In the light of the approved Operational Programme I (Fostering a competitive and sustainable economy to meet our challenges) with pertinent action plan, the S3 Platform and DG REGIO discussed the state of play on issues identified during the past assessments. Whilst building on the 2013 RIS3 peer review report as well as Prof Luke Georghiou’s work, the meeting facilitated the exchange of information between the actors responsible for directing the Maltese S3 process, being presented as both an integral part of the ‘National Research and Innovation Strategy 2020’ as much as a stand-alone strategic process, and the European Commission, with the contribution of some invited experts to support and facilitate the completion of the S3 process and delivering of the solid RIS3 strategy.
